Chess Cake Squares (Gooey Bars)

Ingredients

  • 1 box Duncan Hines yellow cake mix
  • 1 stick butter, room temperature
  • 1 egg
  • 1 lb powdered sugar
  • 1 (8 oz) package cream cheese, softened
  • 3 eggs

Instructions

  1. Mix cake mix, butter, and 1 egg; press into a buttered 9x13 pan.
  2. Beat together powdered sugar, cream cheese, and 3 eggs; pour over the crumb layer.
  3. Bake at 350° for 35 minutes.
