Instructions
- Have all ingredients at room temperature.
- Preheat oven to 350°F; grease and flour a 1 1/2-lb loaf pan.
- Whisk eggs and vanilla together; in a separate bowl sift together flour, baking powder, and salt.
- Beat butter on medium-high speed until light and creamy, about 3 minutes.
- Gradually add sugar and beat until light and fluffy, about 3 minutes.
- Add the egg mixture and beat on medium speed until combined, about 1 minute.
- Reduce speed to low and add the flour mixture in three additions, alternating with the milk, beginning and ending with flour; beat just until incorporated, do not overmix.
- Transfer batter to the prepared pan and smooth the top.
- Bake until deep golden and a toothpick comes out clean, 40-50 minutes.
- Cool in the pan 10 minutes, then invert onto a rack, turn right-side up, and cool completely.
Serves 8-10. Handwritten notes on the card: "Gold Loaf Pan, Very Good" and "Don't over cook."
